Arclight - Josin L. McQuein Light is safety. Light is life.Arclight has odd girl out past unknown with people trying to survive with an enemy that's only held back by light. But happens when it's dark? Lines like the one above make it perfectly obvious that it’s nothing good. So though they think they know what’s beyond their borders, some of them find there’s almost always more things to discover. The best part? The baddies…what they were, who they were and who they were after . Interesting, who Marina is and what she doesn’t know. But factor in her scary recollections that may not have been recollections after all because the longer the time spent with her, the clearer it is that she knows nothing. Things going down as they did, revealing just who was bad and who was worse, well… I was not necessarily blown away by those reveals, but it was impressed I was by how the same was done. Except why not blown away? Well, let’s put it this way: you can guess early on who is who and who’s up to what. But still, I liked this one. I liked this even when the lead girl was drooling over the hot lead guy during an emergency. I mean emergencies do that, don’t they? Have people thinking the oddest things at the most inconvenient times? But seriously, this wasn’t about her and the boy and the attraction that’s obvious, it’s mainly the girl piecing things together with us doing the same along with.Because the players? All of them: girl, boy and the every other person on this one; they’re lost, lost girl, lost boy, and lost people. A fact that’s obvious with each of them searching for something. It’s most obvious with her, not knowing anything as she does, but it’s true for the rest of them as well, with the boy looking for his father, and the rest of looking for hope.Good stuff this. Thank you, Edelweiss!
